Members' Summer Evening - The Sahara
August 12 (Sunday) 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Come celebrate The Huntington's Desert Garden Centennial. Stroll through the gardens. Enjoy music and cuisine highlighting different desert regions of the world. Gary Lyons, Desert Garden Curator, will answer questions and sign his new book, Desert Plants: A Curator's Introduction to the Huntington Desert Garden. All gardens will be open including the Helen and Peter Bing Children's Garden. Also open: The Rose Hills Foundation Conservatory for Botanical Science and The Bookstore & More. Music: Souk Sonik, sponsored by the Levanine Cultural Center. Trunk Show: African-inspired jewelry by Kimra Bendle. Cuisine: African-Style Tuna Steak or Moroccan Chicken Tajine. Picnic in a designated area or purchase regional cuisine from the Patio Grill. For Members only. Members are welcome to bring guests for a $5 admission fee per person.
