Come...Celebrate The Roses! Rose Garden Centennial Lecture Series 1908 --- 2008 This year The Huntington Rose Garden celebrates its 100th Aniversary. La Rose Impériale - The Development of the Modern Rose Boone Gallery -- February 9 through April 28, 2008 Featuring 110 of The Huntington Library's rare rose books, La Rose Impériale will take visitors through the development of hardy, repeat-blooming roses in nineteenth century France. This exhibit is the centerpiece of our centennial celebration and features not only extraordinarily rare books from the Library's collection as well as interactive displays on fragrance and a life size virtual book. Using high definition technology visitors will be able to leaf through all 170 images from one of the most beautiful rose books ever published, Les Roses by Pierre-Joseph Redouté.
