Volunteering in The Rose Garden
There are many opportunities to volunteer in the Rose Garden:
- Docents conduct tours and answer questions during the hours that the Huntington Gardens are open
- Every Tuesday, Volunteers meet in the garden to deadhead the roses
- One Saturday each month, a group of Volunteers meet to propagate roses and do other projects in the garden
- The Rose Garden newsletter, Subrosa, is a place for writers and photographers to share their talents
- During January and early February, Volunteers prune the bushes in the Rose Garden
- Volunteers are involved in the planning, preparation for, and hosting of special events in the Rose Garden, including the Spring/Fall Rose Festivals and The Great Rosarians event each January
- Special projects sponsored by the Curator are always available for Volunteers, including activities such as updating catalogs and developing educational materials
If you are interested in volunteering, please
